Once you've placed your order, you'll receive an order confirmation email with instructions for sending your artwork.

Simply reply to your confirmation email with a clear photograph or scan of the handwriting or drawing you'd like preserved. No physical original is required - your precious original stays safely with you.

For the best result, photograph or scan your artwork on a plain background in good natural light, with the image in focus and minimal shadows.

If you've selected Add a Year for the reverse, simply include the year you'd like embroidered in your reply.

I'll carefully prepare your artwork for embroidery, preserving the character and little imperfections of the original before stitching and assembling your keepsake.

The miniature size of The Heirloom Frame Ornament is best suited to a handwritten name, meaningful word, very short phrase or sign-off, signature, or simple drawing.

Children's handwriting and little drawings work especially beautifully - from the way they write their name right now to a tiny heart, flower, person, Christmas tree or other simple doodle.

Long handwritten notes, letters and highly detailed artwork aren't suitable for this miniature format. For longer pieces of handwriting, please see The Handwriting Keepsake.

Your original handwriting or drawing will be preserved as faithfully as possible, including the little quirks and imperfections that make it uniquely theirs. Very fine or intricate details may occasionally need to be simplified slightly so they translate beautifully into embroidery at this scale.

Each Heirloom Frame Ornament is made using 100% cotton canvas, embroidered with your chosen thread colour and displayed within a miniature gold-toned metal and glass frame.

Approximate overall size: 8 × 6.4 cm (3.15 × 2.52 in)

Each piece is finished with your choice of burgundy, dark green or ivory velvet-look ribbon for hanging.

As each keepsake is individually made and assembled by hand, slight variations are part of its character.

To keep your ornament beautiful for Christmases to come, store it carefully in a dry place when not in use and handle the glass and embroidered canvas with clean, dry hands.

Each Heirloom Frame Ornament is individually prepared, embroidered and assembled to order. Please allow approximately 5-10 business days for your keepsake to be created before dispatch.

Shipping time is additional and will vary depending on your location and selected shipping method.
